What is Giclee?
So what, is a Giclee?
In the simplest of terms, a giclee is a digital reproduction of an original work of art, such as an oil a watercolor, a sketch or photograph. The creation of a giclee involves the use of highly specialized scanners and inkjet printers. (The work 'giclee,' a French verb, means 'to squirt' or 'to spray.')
After the original artwork is scanned and a digital image made that is pixel for pixel, an exact replica of the original, down to the very brush strokes that created the piece.
